how to solve x/2+1+3x/4=-9

Add 3+3x which is 6x and divide by 4 and find your answer then after that subtract 9 from it and add x

first you should know that x/2 is equaled to 2x/4
so now you can simplify one side of the equation:
2x/4 + 3x/4 + 1 = 5x/4 + 1 
now you have:
5x/4 + 1 = -9 
so you should add -1 on both sides of the equation 
you will have:
5x/4 = -9 -1 ⇒ 5x/4 = -10 ⇒ 5/4 × x = -10 ⇒ x = -10 ÷ 5/4 ⇒ x = -10 × 4/5 = -8 
so theanswer is x = -8 :)))
