Multiply the coefficients to the terms in parentheses:

[tex]-6(5x + 1) = (-6 * 5x) + (-6 * 1) = -30x - 6[/tex]

[tex]3(2x - 4) = (3 * 2x) + (3 * -4) = 6x - 12[/tex]

[tex](-30x - 6) + (6x - 12)[/tex]

Combine like terms:

[tex]-30x + 6x = -24x[/tex]

[tex]-6 + -12 = -18[/tex]

[tex]-24x - 18[/tex]

The answer is C. -24x - 18.
