I think that product means to multiply so if this is true than the answer would be:

5/8 × 2/3 = 10/24

Simplified to:

5/12

When multiplying fractions, multiply across the top and across the bottom.

[tex] \frac{5}{8} [/tex] x [tex] \frac{2}{3} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{10}{24} [/tex]

Now, reduce the fraction by the gcf

[tex] \frac{10}{24} [/tex] ÷ [tex] \frac{2}{2} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{5}{12} [/tex]
