Wundt and Titchener's approach of structuralism attempted to impersonate chemistry and physics with how tries were directed. A case of this is a subject would be secluded from the researchers and they would be presented to some type of jolt (light, solid, and so on); the subject would then respond to the boost by pushing a catch and a response time would be recorded. Wundt could quantify response times as close as to one-thousandth of a second.
