[tex] \frac{x}{ - 3.5} + 33 = 30[/tex]
Subtract 33 from the both sides of the equal sign
[tex] \frac{x}{ - 3.5} + (33 - 33) = 30 - 33[/tex]
Multiply the both sides by -3.5

[tex]( \frac{x}{ - 3.5} ) \times ( - 3.5) = (- 3) \times ( - 3.5)[/tex]
Now X Equals...
[tex]x = 10.5[/tex]
