2. To estimate the value of [tex]y[/tex] when [tex]x=3[/tex], you only need to substitute this value of [tex]x[/tex] into the function, as following:

[tex]y=10^{3}-12x\\y=10(3)^{3}-12(3)\\y=10(27)-36\\y=270-36\\y=234[/tex]
