slope = 5/8

given point is (-8,-4)

Use point slope formula

y - y1 = m (x - x1)

m = 5/8  , x1 = -8  and y1 =-4

Plug in all the values in the formula

[tex]y - (-4) =\frac{5}{8}(x - (-8))[/tex]

[tex]y+4 =\frac{5}{8}x + 5[/tex]

Subtract 4 on boths ides

[tex]y=\frac{5}{8}x + 1[/tex]

So answer is option B
