Answer:

When looking for parallel slopes of another linear equation you would simply keep the slope that you already have

In y=1/2x-1  (your slope is 1/2)

The parallel slope is 1/2

If you are looking for a parallel line, keep the slope and change the intercept. For example, you could use y=1/2x+5 or something
