What do single celled and multicellular organisms have in common

One similarity of a unicellular organism and a multicellular organism is that they both have the basic unit of life which is the cell. Each cell in an organism is considered as the basic unit of life because it is able to act on its own and do processes that a normal cell would do to survive.
