The number of moles of hydrogen from the number of moles of ethane can be determined through stoichiometry. Using the molecular formula of the compound, C2H6, 1 mole of the compound contains 6 moles of hydrogen. Hence, 13.78 moles C2H6*(6 mole H/ 1 mole C2H6) is equal to 82.68 moles H.
