ok so first you do 4x-y=11,6x-2y=13

then you have to eliminate something

so the easiest one is to multiply the y by -2

the reason why you have to multiply by -2 is because positive cancels out a negative

when you do that you get

x=7

  then you plug in the x into one of the equations. the end was that y=9/2 or

y=4.5
