Find f(2), this means that they want you to find f(x) when x = 2.

Since you know the value of x, substitute/plug it into the equation:

f(x) = 4x - 3     Plug in 2 into "x" since x = 2

f(2) = 4(2) - 3

f(2) = 8 - 3

f(2) = 5
