Leo probably ignored Stargirl because he thought she was weird or unusual. Since she was also a new student, he probably wanted to stay 'chill' with his friends rather than talk to an outsider.
Even though Leo liked Stargirl, he didn't like the fact that his friends were ignoring him because he was with her.
