The equation [tex]x^3+6x-5=0[/tex] has a solution between x=0 and x=1. (Proved)

Let [tex]f(x)=x^3+6x-5[/tex].

At x = 0, f(0) = -5

At x = 1, f(1) = 2.

Since, f(0) < 0 and f(1) > 0, so by intermediate value theorem there will be a solution between 0 and 1.
