[tex]f(x) = 3x^2 + 4x - 7[/tex]          [tex]g(x) = 5x - 3[/tex]

[tex](f + g)(x) = f(x) + g(x)\\= (3x^2 + 4x - 7) + (5x - 3)\\= 3x^2 + 4x - 7 + 5x - 3\\= 3x^2 + 9x - 10[/tex]
