[tex]\log\left(\frac{10}{y}\right) = \log(10) - \log(y)[/tex]

The general rule is

[tex]\log\left(\frac{A}{B}\right) = \log(A) - \log(B)[/tex]

Other log rules are

[tex]\log(AB) = \log(A) + \log(B)[/tex]

[tex]B\log(A) = \log(A^B)[/tex]
