To Find :

The value of angle x.

Solution :

cos x = 1.7/2

Applying cos inverse both the sides, we get :

[tex]cos ^{-1} (cos\ x ) = cos^{-1} \dfrac{1.7}{2}\\\\x = cos^{-1} \dfrac{1.7}{2}[/tex]

Calculating the value of  [tex]cos ^{-1} \dfrac{1.7}{2}[/tex] from calculator, we get :

x = 31.79°

Therefore, the acute angle x is 31.79°.
