Difference between 2 natural numbers is 24 the bigger number is 4 times greater than the smaller number find the number

Let, the numbers = x,y

x-y = 24

x = 4y

substitute value of x in 1st eqn

4y-y=24

3y=24

y=8

x=4*8=32

So, the numbers would be 32 & 8
