log₈ 5-log₈ (x-6)=1

1)
log_a b- log_a c=log_a b/c

log₈ 5/(x-6)=1

2)
log_a b=c ⇔ a^c=b

log₈ 5/(x-6)=1  ⇔  8¹= 5/(x-6)
8(x-6)=5
8x-48=5
8x=5+48
8x=53
x=53/8

Answer: x=53/8
