how do you multiply a decimal by a decimal?

The same way you would normally multiply but you just move the decimal as many times as it's moved on the top and bottom number

ok. so say it's 2.5 x 5.2 line them up and ignore the decimals so, do basically 25 x 52 and then when you get your answer, umm ok lets say the answer is 1233 then you put the decimal point two places to the left and its 12.33
