12x+5y=27

Let y =-5-3x

Insert y into equ.2

12x+5(-5-3x)=27

12x-25-15x=27 den rearrange

-3x=2 den x =-2/3

Den put xinto equ 1

3(-2/3)+y=5

-2+y=5(collect like terms)

Y =7
