BRC1 is one of the genes that cause breast cancer which is thought to be inherited from the parents and even surgery can remove it from the person or it removed with the death of the person but genes already passed on next generation.

Surgery can not remove the gene but the tumor only and can reappear again. It is impossible to remove the complete gene from the population.
