Answer: some people liked that we were stoping the comunist expansion of the USSR but the majority of people did not want more fighting for an "unreasinable cause" after ww1 and ww2 most of the world had been sick and tired of fighting makes sence 2/3 of the world population was dead and most of europe was in rubble people did not want more death
