During the 1930s... A very low level of jet stream weakened carrying very tiny bit of moisture, and went to the south. Later on The Great Plains dried up & dust storms began and blew across the United States. The damage was so bad that One hundred million acres of the southern plains were turning into wastelands by the cause of the dust bowl.
