Kite = x
Tail = 5x

5x + x = 36
6x = 36
x = 6

5x = 5*6 = 30

k+t=36
t is 5 times of k
t=5k

sub5k for t

k+5k=36
6k=36
divide both sides by 6
k=6
sub back
t=5k
t=5(6)
t=30

tail=30ft
