The circumference of a circular field is 276 yards. What is the diameter of the field?

The formula for a circumference is:
C = πd or C = π2r

So we already have the circumference which is 276 yd

276 = πd

We just need to find the diameter, so we divide d/1 on both sides:

d/276 = π

Now we divide 276/1 on both sides:

d = 276/π

Now we solve

d = 87.90
