What is equation?

Given function is: y= [tex]\frac{(x-1)}{x^{2} -4 }[/tex]

As, for the denominator is equal  to zero. We have

x²-4=0

x²=4

x=√4

x= ± 2

Thus, by putting either x= +2 or x= -2 in denominator which will gives the denominator equals to zero.
