Mesosphere - The region of the earth's atmosphere above the stratosphere and below the thermosphere between about 50 and 80 km in altitude.

Tropopause - It is the boundary in the earth's atmosphere between the troposphere and the stratosphere. It lies on an average at 17 km above equatorial regions and about 9 km over the poles.
