Then, according to the question ;

It is stated that the lines are parallel

i.e.

m1=m2

or, 2 = m2

Hence, m2 =2

Again,

The required equation of the line passing through the point P(2,-2) = (x1,y1) is

y-y1 = m2(x- x1)

or, y-(-2) = 2(x-2)

or, y+2 = 2x-4

or, 2+4 = 2x-y

or, 2x-y = 6

Therefore; 2x-y = 6.
