Elsie bought 3.00 pounds of pecans for $9.60. Her friend buys 4.50 pounds of walnuts for $15.75. Which is more expensive per pound? By how much?

Divide 9.60 by 3, and 15.75 by 4.50
The bigger number will be the most expensive and subtract the bigger quotient by the smaller and you’ll get the difference.
