To calculate the speed a vehicle is traveling you have to use the following formula:

[tex]S=\frac{d}{t}[/tex]

Where

S: speed

d: distance

t: time

The car traveled d=156miles in t=3hs

Its speed can be calculated as:

[tex]\begin{gathered} S=\frac{156}{3} \\ S=52 \end{gathered}[/tex]

The car's speed was 52 miles per hour
