All atoms are composed of electrons that have a negative charge, protons with a positive charge, and neutrons with a neutral charge. Neutrons are sub atomic particles with a neutral charge that are found in the nucleus of the atom together with protons. Neutrons are made out of two down quarks and one up quark.
