There's a typo

I'll assume it's meant to be 5/2 + x > 1/3

Solve for x in both equations

x > 1/3 - 5/2

x > -13/6

In the second equation

x < -29/6 - 2

x < -41/6

In interval notation:

(-inf, -41/6] U [-13/6, inf)
