The duplex theory refers to the flow of information perceived that starts as a temporary memory, then processed as a short-term memory, and later on be classified as long term memory. Therefore, in a duplex theory, the two parts involved are SHORT-TERM MEMORY and LONG-TERM MEMORY, respectively.
