slope intercept form is y=mx + b where b is the y-coordinate.
2x = 12 + 2y      subtract 2y from both sides
-2y + 2x = 12     subtract 2x from both sides
-2y= 12 - 2x       arrange them in order of y=mx+b
-2y = -2x +12     divide both sides by - 2 (to reduce and have positive y value)
y= 1x -6
