If these are separate equations, then you can solve them by simply solving the exponent then multiplying.

For 3.1 • 10^5, that means doing 10^5 then multiplying that by 3.1.
10^5 = 100000
100000 • 3.1 = 310000
So (3.1 • 10^5) = 310000

For 4.1 • 10^9, you would do the same. Exponent first, then multiply.
10^9 = 1000000000
1000000000 • 4.1 = 4100000000
So (4.1 • 10^9) = 4100000000
