The circumference or perimeter of a circle with radius [tex] r [/tex] is

[tex] P=2\pi r [/tex], where [tex] r [/tex] is the radius of the circle. When [tex] r=3 \;ft [/tex], [tex] P=2\pi (3)=6\pi \;ft [/tex]
