Get all the q terms to one side of the equation and isolate them.

Add 18 to both sides and subtract qr from both sides.

6q-qr=s+18

Factor out a q on the left side.

q(6-r)=s+18

Divide by (6-r) on both sides to solve for q.

q=(s+18)/(6-r)
