At a sale, a suit is being sold for 35% of the regular price. The sale price is $259 . What is the regular price?

We are given the sale price after it the original price has been cut by 35%. This means that 65% of the original cost is equal to 259. Therefore, we can do:

0.65*X=259
X=259/0.65
X=398.46
