wasn't relable and I believe sometimes malfuncted like blow ups and stuff

Well with a muzzle loading rifle you need to insert the gunpowder and then bullet and then push it down with a iron rod and its risky because the gunpowder can ignite making the rifle fire will your doing that therefore making it dangerous.
