Texas local government has 4 divisions:
- municipalities oversee cities and town government
- counties are larger than municipalities, and are assigned regional government
- special districts handle water, hospitals, schools, etc. (that may be shared by multiple municipalities or counties)
- councils of government are like government FOR the government!
Texas is the largest state in the USA so it needs a lot of organization to keep it running!
