In what way did the Justinian Code advance the status of women in society?

Justinian's code was an organized collection and explanation of the Roman laws, it is important because it became the basis for legal systems of most modern European countries. In those Roman laws. there were a few about women, and Justinian Code made those laws for women even stronger. The code or law, helped many people see the struggles that women were going through, and decided to change it.
