Did the founding fathers wear wigs?

It really depends on which founding fathers you are talking about. Wigs were a status symbol for the upper classes, they also showed wealth. Many of the founding fathers wore wigs but some, like George Washington and Benjamin Franklin, didn't wear wigs.
