If all of the detritus leaving the marsh is plant material, what percentage of all net primary production leaves the marsh as detritus each year?

I believe this problem has the following figure to go with (see attached pic).

Based from the table, we can calculate the percentage of net production leaving as detritus each year. Calculating:

(Detritus leaving marsh) * 100% / (Net grass production)

= 3671 * 100% / 6585

= 56%
