In the chemical reaction
Mg(s) +2HCl (aq) --------> MgCl2(aq) + H2 (g)
I don't understand how the 2 in 2HCL got there. Can someone explain that to me please?

while balancing the chemical equations , we need to add suitable coefficient without changing molecular formula
