The derivative would be 5s^4 + 0, or simply 5s^4.

The rule to find derivatives is:

1) multiply the coefficient by the exponent, then that will be your new coefficient

2) subtract the original coefficient by 1.

s^5 —> 5s^5-1 —> 5s^4

*** ANY DERIVATIVE OF A CONSTANT is 0.
For example, if 2 is by itself. Its derivative is 0.
