first, let's get rid f the bracket:

3/4t + 1/8 = 3/4t + 3/4 *8

then we calculte

3/4 *8=6

which means:
3/4t + 1/8 = 3/4t + 6

now we move all the Ts to the left side and leave nothing else there:

3/4t -3/4t + =  6 -1/8

so we have:
0=5 [tex] \frac{7}{8} [/tex]

which can't be true! the equation is not solvable in the set of rational numbers.
