According to Lao Tzu, Tao is the creative force in the universe, through which all things are connected. Tao is a life force that brings forth the qi, or energy, which all things must feed on to exist. Tao is often considered to be a road or a pathway, and all things in nature flow along this road in the path of least resistance.
