I believe that the correct word here is correlation. Correlation
is the term that we use when we want to say that something is strong related to
the other. Correlation must be however differentiated from causality.
Correlation is when two things occur at the same time. Causality is when one results
in the occurrence of the other.
Correlation coefficient has a maximum value of 1 which
indicates strong relationship.
