A perimeter is the total of the sides combined.
A towel has four sides, it is a rectangle. in rectangles the sides that are opposite sides are congruent (the same) so the problem is setup like the following: 2+2+.75+.75= 5.5

The perimeter of the towel is 5.5 feet.
